People — with a proclivity for drawing the human form he as enjoyed both working from life as well as well as his imagination doing situational illustration. His desire is to bring the viewer into the situation portrayed in the painting. His work often is of his family or close friends and especially enjoys depicting children.

Places — part of any journey are the places you stop off and have those aha moments. Dwight and his wife Pat love to travel, and since they both paint they enjoy capturing those memories together.

and things in between in between — Subjects can be anything that holds interest or represents a statement or conveys a thought that he wants to share.
